He is being investigated, he has not been charged. It is clear he or some doctor gave Jackson drugs, but exactly what happened is being investigated. It has been almost 5 months, so I guess they should have had enough time. But I think there is speculation that other doctors may have played a role too. If he were charged today, he would not be on trial for probably a year or more and then a few months might pass, if convicted before he would be in prison. If he were convicted and could make bail he could be out of jail until he is sentenced. He is not off the hook, but just has not been charged, therefore he could not be in jail unless he was there on other charges.
